How to Set Up a Dessert Buffet for Your Miami Party or Event

Quick answer
As a rough estimate, plan 3–4 dessert pieces per guest across 3–5 types of treats, and serve perishables in small batches from the refrigerator. Party bundles cover 48, 60, or 120 pieces. For larger or custom events, use the Catering page.
Step 1: Estimate quantities
These are planning estimates. Adjust for how long the event lasts, whether a meal is served, and your guests' appetites:
- Dessert after a full meal: about 2–3 pieces per guest
- Dessert-focused party: about 3–4 pieces per guest
- Long events or late-night tables: plan a little extra
Example: 30 guests × 3 pieces ≈ 90 pieces, or about 7–8 dozen across several treats.
Step 2: Choose a mix
- Cups and shooters: banana pudding, Oreo, Biscoff, strawberry, and cheesecake
- Chocolate-dipped handhelds: strawberries, pretzels, Oreos, rice krispies
- Cake bites: cake pops and cakesicles
Three to five types usually gives a full-looking table without too much of any one item.
Step 3: Start from a bundle
- A Little Something Something (Small): 48 pieces — Oreos, pretzels, cake pops, rice krispies
- Midway Munchables (Medium): 60 pieces — adds strawberries
- Choco-Lot Crew (Large): 120 pieces — 2 dozen of each
Add dozens of shooters or pudding cups to any bundle to round out the table.
Step 4: Plan for Miami heat
Cream-, custard-, and fruit-based desserts are perishable. Keep them refrigerated until serving. The USDA advises not leaving perishable food out for more than 2 hours, or 1 hour when it's above 90°F (USDA food safety guidance).
- Serve cream-based cups and shooters straight from the cooler in small batches
- Set the table in the shade, away from direct sun and warm dishes
- Label desserts with small cards so guests know what's in each item
Step 5: Order with enough lead time
Most orders need a 14-day lead time. Orders are secured with a 50% deposit, and the remaining balance is due 7 days before your date. All sales are final, so double-check your date, quantities, and fulfillment choice before you pay. See the Refund Policy for details.
You choose Miami pickup or delivery/shipping at checkout, and checkout shows the options and costs that apply to your address. Our Shipping & Pickup page has the current policy — check it before ordering perishable desserts for someone outside the Miami area, and contact us if you're unsure.
